Random + Paper

So I woke on Saturday morning thinking that it was December. It was snowing and unbelievable cold! After work that same day I went to Super K and the parking lot was pack! It seems like a Christmas eve as everyone last minute shops for gift, but there was no Christmas tree, colorful lights or Santa when I enter the store at twelve in the morning, there were half-gone Easter goodies. Snow in Spring!! I wonder if Santa have forgotten a reindeer and had come back in search of him/her.

For my final essay, I am stuck at deciding whether to write about the zombies' makeup and details or zombies within religion. When zombie in religion was brought up in class I thought it was an interesting topic versus zombies' makeup and details. In my culture there are many folks and tales about people coming across zombies and what not. A cousin who just visit from Thailand say that he and a bunch of friends were riding bikes one morning and saw a person dress in black (in traditional Hmong's dead outfit) standing beside a tree. When he saw my cousin and his friends riding up he hid his face beside a tree so they would not see his face. However when they rode by my cousin thought the man looked odd so he turn back and he saw that the man's face was rotting away. It's hard to believe, but there are many people who have claim to see the dead wondering around the roads in the early morning or late evening.

If I was to do zombies' makeup and details I was going to do a comparison of how zombies makeup are like earlier when zombies film first came out to today. When watching Night of the Living Dead the make up looked nothing like makeup these days. The zombies in the film had grey paint and some with little rotten away details which looks extremely fake. Today zombies are gross looking! You can see rip lips to nearly decayed zombies. Again, I still trying to figure out which topic to do my paper on. Hopefully when I go to the library Monday I will be able to find interesting articles on these two topic to help me chose.

Oh wow, that is creepy! Are you sure the guy was a zombie and not just someone dying of leprosy? I've heard that in Japan before World War II, there were leper colonies on some of the islands, and people considered themselves dead as soon as they were sent to live there. Those people wore traditional burial clothing like poor people would wear, and weren't allowed to look at the living--that is, people without leprosy.
